"Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment."Dr. Maria Montessori.

Toddler Program 2-3 Year Olds

Toddler Program 2-3 Year Olds

The Toddler class gives an introduction to the Montessori environment. These classrooms have Montessori materials and activities, which help children’s sense of independence and self-esteem. The basic goals of this program are to help children develop a cycle of activity, allow confidence and coordination, development through practical life exercises, refine sensorial impressions, and to help the children’s growing language skills. While there are many individual activities to help children become independent, there are also group activities such as songs, games, and snack time which help children develop a sense of community and caring for others.

Full Day Program 3-6 Year Olds

Full Day Program 3-6 Year Olds

This program is designed to provide the needs of working parents and their children. Children will arrive at 6:30AM, and will begin their day with activities and conversation with their classmates and teacher. Our curriculum covers a wide span of subjects such as, practical life, sensorial, language, motor skills, cultural, music, mathematics, and art using the Montessori Method and materials. All of the activities are designed to help children gain self-confidence, independence, concentration, as well as respect for the environment and others.

Half Day Program 3-6 Year Olds

This program is designed to build a foundation for a life of creative learning. The Montessori prepared environment contains many activities from simple to challenging and leading to the development of order, responsibility, concentration, coordination, initiative and independence. There are four main areas of this program which are practical life, sensorial, math and language. They are enhanced by activities such as, music, art, and culture. Children also obtain enhanced motor development, and creative self-expression along with other classroom experience.

Self-esteem development and independence are the main goals of this program. A child’s sense of self grows as they react successfully with their peers and classroom activities. Children are encouraged to problem-solve independently. The teacher acts as a guide by presenting new activities, and by assisting children in learning. By mixing children of different ages in the classroom, older children develop leadership skills, while the younger children are provided with role models and peer teachers.

Extended Day Program 5-6 Year Olds

This program is designed to advance the learning that happens in Montessori preschool during the child’s kindergarten year. While preschool class has academic possibilities which carry the child well into the elementary level, the developing attention span and growing curiosity of kindergarten-aged children is often met by a longer day with more involved learning activities. Older students are given the opportunity to learn from more advanced academic work which will prepare them for the elementary level.  Reading and math skills are refined through the pursuit of not only cultural objects and science. Also special attention is given to the children for readiness for successful transition into the first grade.
